1) IRISH CONCERT TRAVEL – TERMS & CONDITIONS OF CARRIAGE 

Issued by: Irish Concert Travel Limited, Milltown, Drumcliffe, Co. Sligo, Ireland
(“Irish Concert Travel”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings made with Irish Concert Travel for transport services to and from concerts, festivals and events, whether operated by Irish Concert Travel or by a third-party operator engaged by us.

By making a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

  1. Definitions
  • “Booking” means a reservation for one or more seats on one of our services.
  • “You” / “your” / “Customer” means the person making the booking and/or any passenger travelling under that booking.
  • “Passenger” means any person travelling on a service.
  • “Service” means a coach/bus service organised by Irish Concert Travel.
  • “Ticket” means your booking confirmation (digital or printed).
  • “Event” means the concert, festival, show or other event you are travelling to/from.
  • “Operator” means Irish Concert Travel and/or any third-party licensed transport operator engaged to operate the vehicle and/or driver.
  • “Luggage” means your personal property brought onto or into the vehicle.
  1. What We Sell (Transport Only)

Irish Concert Travel sells transport only.

We do not sell event admission tickets unless explicitly stated in writing. Customers are responsible for their own event admission tickets, entry requirements, age restrictions and venue rules.

We are not responsible for the event organiser, promoter, venue, artist, lineup, running order, curfew, cancellation, postponement or rescheduling of the event.

  1. Booking and Payment

3.1 Payment

Full payment is required at the time of booking.

Website payments are processed through Stripe. We may also accept EFT bank transfer by prior arrangement.

We do not accept responsibility for cash allegedly sent through the post.

3.2 Booking confirmation

A booking is only confirmed when:

  • payment has been received in full, and
  • you receive a booking confirmation email from us.

3.3 Pricing

All prices are subject to availability. Prices may change at any time before a booking is confirmed.

  1. Customer Contact Details

You are responsible for ensuring the email address and phone number provided at booking are correct and monitored.

We are not responsible for missed communications due to incorrect contact details, full inboxes, spam filtering, or unmonitored email accounts.

  1. Changes to Services

We may need to make reasonable changes to services due to operational requirements, safety, vehicle availability, weather, road closures, Garda directions, venue restrictions, or other circumstances outside our control.

This may include changes to:

  • vehicle type
  • pick-up times
  • pick-up locations
  • routes
  • seating arrangements
  • return times

Where possible, we will notify passengers in advance.

  1. Departure Times, Pick-Up Points and No-Shows

6.1 Arrive early

You must arrive at the pick-up point at least 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time.

6.2 Missed departure (no-show)

If you are not present and ready to board at the scheduled departure time, the coach may depart without you.

In such circumstances your booking will be treated as a no-show and no refund will be provided.

6.3 Journey times and delays

Journey times are estimates only. Delays may occur due to traffic, roadworks, accidents, weather, Garda checkpoints, venue restrictions, or other factors outside our control.

We are not liable for losses resulting from delays, including missed entry times, missed performances, or onward travel arrangements.

  1. Seat Allocation

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, seats are not guaranteed and may be allocated at our discretion for safety, operational, or group management reasons.

  1. Children and Under 18s

8.1 Under 16s

Passengers aged 15 or under must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

8.2 16 and 17 year olds

Passengers aged 16 or 17 may travel without an adult at our discretion.

However, where a service is operated by a third-party operator, Irish Concert Travel and/or the operator does not accept responsibility for supervision of minors.

Parents/guardians remain responsible for ensuring minors are fit to travel, behave appropriately, and comply with all rules.

8.3 Seats

All passengers aged 24 months and over require their own seat.

8.4 Free Travel Scheme

We do not participate in the Free Travel Scheme and do not accept Free Travel Passes.

  1. Name Changes (Transfers to Another Person)

9.1 Bookings are for a specific service

All bookings are made for a specific service, date, route and departure time. Bookings cannot be moved to a different service or date except at our discretion.

9.2 Name changes permitted (transfer to another person)

We allow a booking to be transferred to another passenger (name change), subject to:

  • operational requirements, and
  • payment of an administration fee (if applicable).

9.3 Administration fee

Unless otherwise stated at the time of booking, name changes may incur an administration fee per seat. The applicable fee will be confirmed when you request the change.

9.4 Cut-off time

Name changes must be requested by email no later than 72 hours before scheduled departure.

9.5 No changes after cut-off

No changes can be made within 72 hours of departure (including name changes), except where Irish Concert Travel agrees otherwise.

9.6 No resale as a business

Bookings may not be resold as part of a commercial activity without our written permission.

  1. Refunds and Cancellations (Very Important)

10.1 General rule – no refunds

All bookings are non-refundable, except where:

  • Irish Concert Travel cancels the service, or
  • a partial refund applies under Section 10.4 (event cancellation).

This includes (without limitation) situations where you can no longer attend due to:

  • illness or injury
  • change of plans
  • work commitments
  • transport issues
  • personal circumstances
  • inability to obtain event admission

10.2 Customer cancellation

If you choose to cancel your booking, you are not entitled to a refund.

You may request a name change in accordance with Section 9.

10.3 Cancellation by Irish Concert Travel

If we cancel a service in advance, we aim to do this no later than 72 hours before scheduled departure time and we will provide a full refund of the transport fare paid.

Refunds will be made to the original payment method.

10.4 Event cancellation by the organiser / promoter / artist

Irish Concert Travel sells transport only and is not responsible for the organisation of events. However, where an event is cancelled (not rescheduled) and the service has not yet departed from the origin pick-up point, we will offer a partial refund as follows:

  • Event cancelled more than 48 hours before scheduled departure:
    Refund of fare paid minus €5 administration fee per seat
  • Event cancelled within 48 hours but more than 4 hours before departure:
    Refund of fare paid minus €10 administration fee per seat
  • Event cancelled within 4 hours of departure:
    Refund of fare paid minus €20 reservation/administration fee per seat
  • Event cancelled after the service has departed from the origin pick-up point:
    No refund

Refunds will only be issued where the event is cancelled and not rescheduled.

If the event is rescheduled, bookings will normally be transferred to the new date. Refunds will not be provided where a rescheduled date is offered.

10.5 Refusal/removal = no refund

If you are refused boarding or removed from a service due to breach of these Terms, you are not entitled to any refund.

10.6 Chargebacks and payment disputes

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us to attempt resolution, we reserve the right to:

  • refuse future bookings, and/or
  • cancel any upcoming bookings.
  1. Subcontracted Operators and Responsibility

We may operate services using our own vehicles and drivers or by subcontracting licensed operators.

Where a service is operated by a third-party operator:

  • the driver remains responsible for the safe operation of the vehicle, and
  • the passenger may also be subject to the operator’s conditions of carriage.

Irish Concert Travel is not responsible for failures caused solely by third-party operators outside our reasonable control.

 

  1. Strict No Alcohol / No Drugs Policy

Irish Concert Travel operates a strict no alcohol and no drugs policy.

This includes:

  • no consumption of alcohol on board
  • no possession of alcohol on board
  • no illegal drugs or controlled substances
  • no open containers
  • no intoxication that affects safety or comfort

We may refuse boarding or remove any passenger where we reasonably believe they are:

  • intoxicated, or
  • in possession of alcohol or drugs, or
  • attempting to consume alcohol or drugs.

No refund will be provided in these circumstances.

  1. Passenger Conduct and Safety

You must behave in a manner that is safe and respectful to other passengers, the driver, and any Irish Concert Travel representative.

Prohibited behaviour includes (without limitation):

  • abusive, aggressive, threatening or harassing behaviour
  • damage to the vehicle
  • smoking or vaping
  • interfering with the driver
  • refusing to follow reasonable instructions
  • excessive noise or disorderly behaviour
  • behaviour that risks the safety or comfort of others

We may refuse boarding or remove a passenger at any time if we reasonably believe their behaviour presents a risk to safety, comfort, or the operation of the service.

Where a passenger is removed, they are responsible for their own onward travel.

Passengers may be held liable for damage, cleaning costs, or losses caused by their actions.

  1. Luggage

14.1 Responsibility

Passengers are responsible for their own luggage. We are not liable for loss, theft or damage to luggage or personal items.

14.2 Restrictions

Vehicles are subject to statutory safety restrictions. The driver has final discretion on what can be carried.

Large or bulky items may not be accepted. Where possible, notify us in advance.

14.3 Storage and inspection

We may require luggage to be stored in underfloor compartments.

We may request to visually inspect luggage where reasonably required for safety and policy enforcement.

14.4 Lost property

If we locate lost property, we will take reasonable care of it. Uncollected property may be disposed of after 14 days.

Perishable or unsafe items may be disposed of sooner.

  1. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so (including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence).

Subject to the above:

  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss (including missed event entry, missed performances, missed onward travel, or accommodation costs).
  • We are not liable for losses caused by circumstances outside our control.
  • We are not liable for the acts or omissions of event organisers, venues, promoters, artists, or third-party suppliers.
  1. Complaints and Claims

If you wish to make a complaint, you should contact us as soon as possible.

Any complaint relating to a service should be made within:

  • 7 days of travel (general complaints), or
  • 14 days where a refund request is being made.
  1. Data Protection and Privacy

Personal data is collected for booking administration and service delivery.

We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Statement.

Your personal data will not be used for marketing without your consent.

  1. Intellectual Property

All content on irishconcerttravel.ie (including text, logos and images) is owned by Irish Concert Travel Limited or used under licence and may not be reproduced without written permission.

  1. Third Party Websites

We are not responsible for the availability or content of third-party websites linked from our website.

  1. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Irish law and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.

  1. Severability

If any part of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining parts remain in full force and effect.
